Lakeside Country Park’s Lakeside Centre offers a tranquil space in an architecturally stunning, waterside building. This flexible, affordable space is ideal for conferences, meetings, events, team-building activities, private parties and health and wellbeing activities. It can accommodate up to 60 people theatre style.
A flexible space with lakeside views
The centre’s distinctive, modern design offers panoramic views from all our meeting rooms over the surrounding lakes.
The Centre consists of two state-of the-art buildings, the main centre and a service building, each with a distinctive, curved design. The Lakeside Centre can be hired as the whole room (Otter Room), or separated into two smaller rooms (Hedgehog or Harvest Mouse Rooms).
The main building offers:
- a multi-purpose training and conference suite that can accommodate up to 60 people theatre style
- improved changing rooms
- Changing Places facilities for disabled people with complex needs
- rentable office space
The stores building includes:
- eight storage rooms of varying sizes for hire
- a workshop
- public toilets
We can cater for hot drinks and a range of traditional or luxury afternoon teas.

The venue is available for bookings from Monday to Friday between 9am and 5pm.

We are committed to being a green borough. Our centre buildings are designed to be highly energy and water-efficient, using ground-source heat, solar power and featuring a green roof. The wall has been built using that traditional craft of rough-stone walling.
