Ableize Disability Directory    
Resource directory of UK adult and children's disability services.  Includes advice and information, access, recreation and sports, plus the arts and education.  Also information on specific disabilities and updated news.

Active Sports
Disability Sport is a fully inclusive element of the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Sports Partnership. 

Cinema Exhibitors' Association

This card scheme entitles the holder to one free ticket for a person accompanying them to the cinema. To apply, a person will need to meet one of the following criteria-
 
1)  Be in receipt of Disability Living Allowance
2)  Be a registered blind person
 
Application forms may be collected from cinemas or printed off from the website
 
Disability Arts Development Agency
Dada-South is the South-East’s thriving Disability Arts Development Agency, always raising the profile of Deaf and Disabled artists in the region and creating new and exciting opportunities, to accelerate Deaf and Disabled people’s careers in the Arts.


Eastleigh and District Disability Forum
What can they do for you?

This group exists for all people with impairment and their carers, if appropriate.
Membership is £1. New members always welcome.
Meetings are held on the last Friday of every month from 1.30pm to 3.30pm at Wells Place Centre, Eastleigh Baptist Church, Wells Place and are open to all. The meetings deal with individual concerns as well as general issues of interest to people with an impairment.

Eastleigh Hearing Information Centre
Age Concern building, Romsey Road, Eastleigh

Every Tuesday 2pm to 4pm.

Free drop-in session where you can try out a range of equipment to help with hearing the TV and when on the telephone.

The Home Information Support Project (HISP)
What can they do for you?
 
This service is part of One Community.  The service is for people who find it difficult to access information easily i.e. the housebound (of any age), elderly people and people with impairments.

Listening Books
Audio books for anyone who suffers from an illness or disability and finds it difficult or impossible to hold or read a book.  This service works through a postal lending library.
