Help and advice for private landlords

What Eastleigh Borough Council can offer to Private Landlords

Eastleigh Borough Council is supporting a growing number of applicants and households who are seeking long-term accommodation. We work with a wide range of people including those in full-time employment, part-time workers receiving Universal Credit, and others who rely on benefits. Unfortunately, suitable housing options remain very limited, and we are keen to build stronger partnerships with local landlords to help meet this need.

We understand that potential tenants referred by the Council are sometimes stereotyped as “council tenants,” but in reality, we assist a diverse mix of residents. Our goal is to ensure that all placements are affordable, sustainable, and beneficial for both tenants and landlords.

While you would remain the appointed landlord with the tenancy agreement held directly between you and the tenant Eastleigh Borough Council now offers a free dedicated service to support private landlords who are willing to accept tenants we put forward.

As this is a new and developing service, we are keen to hear from landlords about how we can continue to improve our offer and make this a valuable partnership.

If you would like to discuss how we can support you as a landlord or would like more information about our service, please don’t hesitate to contact us on either [email protected] 02380 68 8000.
