Artsmith BexSimon is holding a FREE forging workshop in Hedge End this weekend.

When: Saturday 23 November 9.30am – 4.30pm

Where: Drummond Community Centre Car Park, Hedge End

Why: Bex is supporting Eastleigh Borough Council’s Hedge End Green Routes public art project. She and her team will be forging new sculptural artworks to help people find their way around the green routes in Hedge End.

Come along and discover how to texture wood grain into steel or forge stems/leaves or other pieces as you find out about some of the tools and processes involved in the forging process. Your artistic endeavours will contribute to the finished pieces!

Bex will be running 30 minute forging sessions on a first come, first served basis throughout the day. If you’d like to have a go Bex will provide all the safety equipment you need, but don’t forget to wear something practical, forging can be a messy business!

Join us on the 23rd to find out more about the project and create something unique to contribute to the appearance of Hedge End’s green routes.
