10am start or join us at 9.30am for a drink first
Himalayan Balsam is a non-native invasive plant which spreads quickly and forms dense thickets which shade out every other flora species. It can affect riverbanks and streams, around ponds and lakes, in wet woodlands and in ditches and damp meadows. We'd love volunteers to join our team in efforts to remove the plant.
Volunteers are welcome to come for all, or just part of the day, but we do need all volunteers to be with us by 10am at the latest so that we can make sure you know where the right location is!
Please bring a packed lunch and wear suitable outdoor clothing. We will provide gloves and tools.
Meeting point: Lakeside Centre building, which is situated at the far end of the access road.
