National retailer chooses Hedge End

Another major retailer has chosen to site their business in the Borough of Eastleigh with the opening of Smyths Toys Superstore's brand new flagship store.
Located at Bradbeers Retail Park on Tollbar Way, Hedge End, the impressive new store is 14,500sq.ft. and will be holding its official opening party on Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 August from 9am - 4pm. The new store is also providing 60 new jobs in the area with most of the roles being taken by local people.
Local families can join in the celebrations and rock out to a live DJ in addition to receiving a free goody bag. There will be free candy floss and face painting for over 3’s in-store on the day as part of the celebrations. There will also be two competitions running on the day to win a brand new PS4 and a new pair of Heelys shoes! Doors open at 9am with a number of special guests including Skylanders Gill Grunt, Sylvanian families Freya Rabbit, Playmobil’s Alex the Knight and many more all dropping by at various intervals between 10am and 4pm!
Store Manager, Mike Willis, said: “We are delighted to be opening our brand new Smyths Toys Superstore in Hedge End. There's sure to be a tremendous sense of fun with fantastic prizes to be won including a PS4 console! Our aim is to offer a fun-filled shopping experience for our customers, with the best range of products at the most competitive prices all year round.”
