Another major retailer has chosen to site their business in the Borough of Eastleigh with the opening of Pets at Home store at Hedge End. The new store and veterinary surgery will be opened at Hedge End on Friday 8 September by Mayor of Eastleigh Cllr Mo Sollitt and Mims Davies MP.
The new store, that will provide a welcome boost to the local economy, received more than 500 applications for the 10 new jobs created at the store, including new grooming and veterinary positions.
Located at Hedge End Retail Park, on Tollbar Way Hedge End, the impressive new store is 7,000sq.ft. and along with a wide range of products for pet owners the store also features a Groom Room which offers a wide range of grooming services including microchipping, nail clipping or a full bath and blow dry.
A Vets4Pets veterinary surgery will also open in-store and will be fully equipped with digital x-rays, ultrasound facilities and an on-site laboratory. A dedicated team of vets, nurses and support colleagues will provide care to local pets 7 days a week. An adoption centre, run by independent charity, Support Adoption For Pets will also open in the new store.
Store manager at Hedge End, Gemma Neilon said: “It’s been a busy few months and now my team and I can’t wait to open the doors and welcome our new customers and their pets to the store.”
