Forthcoming Meetings

The following Eastleigh Borough Council meetings are due to take place next week and are open to the public. Set out below is some background information of what the meetings will be considering: 

Administration Committee

Monday, 26 June 2017 6:15 pm Venue: Rooms 16/17 Eastleigh House, Upper Market Street, Eastleigh, SO50 9YN

The Committee will be considering a number of items including a report on the Equality Act 2010.  Sections 165 and 167 of the Equality Act 2010 have now come into effect as of 6 April 2017. Prior to implementation of the Act the Eastleigh Borough Council (as the Licensing Authority) had maintained a list of wheelchair accessible vehicles, the purpose of the published list is to allow disabled passengers to identify and more easily access suitable vehicles. In order to comply with the statutory scheme and guidance, in addition to the list, the Licensing Authority must have a policy regarding wheelchair accessible vehicles and the circumstances where drivers of such vehicles may be exempt on medical grounds from the duties stipulated.

Chandler’s Ford and Hiltingbury Local Area Committee 

Wednesday, 28 June 2017 7:00 pm Venue: Dovetail Centre, Methodist Church, Winchester Road, Chandler's Ford, SO53 2GJ

The Committee will be considering a number of items including planning applications for:

  • A retrospective application for the retention of single storey double garage- at 6 Wellbrooke Gardens, Chandler’s Ford (Ref: F/17/79919); and

  • An outline application for the construction of 1no. 4 bed dwelling with associated amenity space, parking and access from Winchester Road – at land to the rear of 239 Winchester Road, Chandler’s Ford (Ref: O/17/80003).

Bursledon, Hamble-le-Rice and Hound Local Area Committee

Thursday, 29 June 2017 6:00 pm Venue: Hamble Primary School, Hamble Lane, Hamble-le-Rice, SO31 4ND

The Committee will be considering a number of items including planning applications for:

  • The construction of 6no. three bedroom, 1no. four bedroom and 2no. five bedroom dwellings with associated parking, garages and amenity space, following demolition of former club building at 100 Station Road, , Netley Abbey (Ref: F/17/80123);

  • The construction of 64 Bedroom dementia care centre with associated access, parking and landscaping at land to the rear of Blackthorn Health Centre, Satchell Lane, Hamble-le-Rice (Ref: F/1780218);

  • The demolition of existing single storey commercial premises and replacement with two-storey mixed use building comprising of ground floor community facility and 2No self-contained flats on first floor at St Andrews Buildings, High Street, Hamble (Ref: C/17/80613); and

  • A single storey and two storey rear extensions, alterations to roof from hipped to gable, rear dormer window and single storey front extension and bay window at 22 Windmill Lane, Bursledon (Ref: F/17/80326).
