Local families will have the opportunity to get active and play sport together this summer thanks to the launch of a new Family Sport programme by Eastleigh Borough Council’s SportWorks team.

All Family Sport sessions are aimed at beginners and families with children looking to get more healthy and active. The sports on offer include Cycling, Fishing, Golf and Tennis and will be available for just £10 per family thanks to funding from Sport England.

Cabinet Lead for Wellbeing, Cllr Alan Broadhurst said, “This is a great scheme to encourage families to enjoy sport and activities together. Family Sport is a great way for families to come together and try something new without any commitment, whilst getting healthy and active.  I encourage local families to sign up and have a go at these fun activities.”

The first series of Family Sport sessions will take place alongside the Council's Park Sport and Summer of Sport programmes.  Bookings will go live on Tuesday 4th July.  For more information and to book, visit
