The Deputy Mayor of Eastleigh, Cllr Maureen Sollitt will lead the Armistice Day commemorations on Friday 11 November when the borough remembers all those who have died in the two World Wars and many other conflicts.

The commemorations are organised by the Council in partnership with the Royal British Legion Eastleigh & Chandler’s Ford branch and will take place at the War Memorial on Leigh Road Recreation Ground at 11am.

Civic dignitaries including past Mayors, Freeman and Citizens of Honour together with children from local schools and nurseries have been invited to join the Mayor and the event is also open to all local people.
