Advisory board made up of key local organisations with an interest in sport and physical activity

A key government priority at national, regional and local level is to create a healthier, more physically active and sporting nation. To help achieve this, there is a strategic commitment to a more joined up approach to sport and physical activity, through the establishment of local Alliances of key organisations.

The Eastleigh Sport and Physical Activity Alliance Advisory Board is made up of key local organisations with an interest in sport and physical activity within the Borough. This partnership has been formed involving key local organisations including Eastleigh Borough Council, Energise Me, Places for People, Eastleigh College, Barton Peveril College, Wildern Leisure Centre, Crestwood School, Wyvern Leisure Centre, Hamble Sports Complex Healthworks,  local schools, Youth Options and local volunteers.

The Eastleigh SPAA helps to coordinate key sporting and physical activity events such as the Eastleigh Sports Awards which recognises, showcases and celebrates some of the fantastic achievements by Eastleigh’s talented athletes, dedicated players, teams, volunteers and officials.
