Eastleigh Countryside Volunteers

If you love wildlife, being outdoors and are the type of person who longs to be messy in the mud, then volunteering in our countryside parks could be for you.

There are so many benefits to becoming a countryside volunteer. It can be a great way to make new friends and learn new skills, such as hedge-laying, fencing or coppicing and above all, it's great fun.

Our habitat management work is mainly carried out in the winter, but if you don’t want to do practical work, you could help out with our wildlife surveys like the weekly butterfly transect which start every April.

Volunteering at Lakeside Country Park
A practical task is organised by a Countryside Ranger every Wednesday morning at Lakeside Country Park and runs from 10am to 1pm. Please book in advance by contacting Kayleigh Brookes at lakeside@eastleigh.gov.uk so that we know how many people to expect on the day.
