Active Mums wave
This Girl Can Eastleigh activities for new mums and mums-to-be
Active Mums wave launched 25 March!
Take a look at what's planned for this new wave launching Friday 25 March and closing Thursday 16 June. We still have the Mind Over Matter workshop to get you prepped for your activities, but this time we have our free New Mums Wellbeing Festival to get all the information you need to make the right choices for you and your baby.

Meet the mums
Mums were interviewed about why they make the time for exercise, how the sessions fit around them and their baby, and how it helps connecting with each other - described as being around 'mum vibes'!

Mum and baby Aerial Hoop
Mums will need to be at least 12 weeks postpartum and cleared by their GP to exercise.
These classes are for any mums wanting to get back to fitness and build back strength in a different and enjoyable way. They are designed for beginners and are a great way to ease back to fitness in a safe space. Music and lighting will be kept low to soothe the baby while you exercise. Classes give the opportunity to try two aerial disciplines: both aerial hoop and pole at your own pace.
Wear something you feel comfortable in - leggings and a t-shirt are perfect for both. No special equipment needed, but please bring with you a play mat or seat for your baby while you exercise.

Monday NCT Mums Walk and Talk group
As part of the Active Mums wave we are also promoting the Walk and Talk group that meet every Monday morning, 11am, for a gentle stroll round Fleming Park. It's a great way to meet other new parents in the local area. All are welcome and you don't need to be an NCT member.
Donation-based with a suggested donation of £2.
Booking is currently required through the events section on their Facebook page, and the meeting point is in the confirmation email once a place has been booked.
