Ppi Environmental Improvement Projects (1)

Below are some current major projects, being managed by Planning Policy & Implementation.

Market Place - Eastleigh

A re-designed and enhanced public open space including the western part of the pedestrian precinct has largely been completed. The project will enhance the role of the area as a venue for the twice weekly street market and local events. The scheme also strengthens links between the Recreation Ground and the town centre. Further works to complete the tree pit details and create a living screen with the adjacent car park will be carried out in the next few weeks.

Wells Place - Eastleigh

The creation of a flexible space where specialist markets and street performances could be located was conceived as part of the Eastleigh Street Furniture refurbishment completed in 2013.
Unfortunately the project is currently delayed due to scaffolding supporting a dangerous structure encroaching on the site.   We will resume works as soon as we can.
