Strategic Land Availability Assessment 2016 - 2036
The Strategic Land Availability Assessment (SLAA) is an important part of the evidence base for our Emerging Local Plan.
The SLAA identifies the theoretical potential for land to be developed to meet any future development needs of the Borough. A robust evidence base to inform future decisions on how to provide and manage this development will ensure that emerging policy documents are found to be sound by government inspectors.
Our SLAA includes the Strategic Housing Land Availability Assessment (SHLAA) required in the National Planning Policy Framework but will also look at the potential for land to be used in other ways.
