How the scheme works
If you have a permit, you can park your vehicle in a residents' parking bay within the designated zone. The permit must be displayed in the windscreen of the vehicle and can only be used for a single vehicle, it is not transferable. You must park within the marked bays. The bays are not subject to waiting restrictions.
There are some designated sections of roads within the parking zones that offer up to two or four hours free parking as indicated on the adjacent road signs. All vehicles may use these parking bays for the time period specified.
If you have a Disabled Person's badge or a Professional Carer's permit, you may park your vehicle in a residents' parking bay although there is a three hour limit for a professional carer.
The scheme operates at the following times:
Zones 1 to 8 - 8am to 8pm Monday to Saturday (except Bank Holidays);
Zone 9 - 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday (except Bank Holidays); and
Zone 11 - 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday (except Bank Holidays).
Outside of these times, the parking bays are available for all vehicles including those without permits.
