Supported Public Transport Services

Eastleigh Borough Council does not have a statutory responsibility to provide financial support for local bus services. Despite this, we do take a proactive role in public transport and we do provide subsidies for selected services which do not meet the criteria for financial support from Hampshire County Council, but which the Council feel are socially necessary and/or fill important gaps in the local network.

The range of services supported by Eastleigh Borough Council was fully reviewed in 2016.  Our Public Transport Review page provides information on this review, and provide background on our support for socially necessary bus services.
