Trains serving Eastleigh Borough are operated by South Western Railway, Cross Country Trains, Southern and GWR.

A network of regular bus routes connects all parts of the Borough to Southampton, Eastleigh and other major destinations in the area.
Most bus services in South Hampshire are now equipped with free on-board Wi-Fi internet access and operated with low floor buses. This means most buses are accessible to people with pushchairs, buggies or mobility scooters and whilst on the bus, you can use your time to go shopping online, use facebook or twitter, or do work- whilst you let someone else take care of the driving.
The Solent Go travelcard can be used on buses across Eastleigh. This travelcard helps make bus travel easier:
- Hop-on and hop-off public transport whenever you like, saving you time and speeding up bus journeys
- No need to to carry the correct change or multiple paper tickets
- The card covers bus and ferry travel and car clubs across the Solent area

At some of the bus stops on the main Bluestar 1 (Southampton-Chandler's Ford- Winchester) and Bluestar 2 (Southampton-Eastleigh-Fair Oak) routes we have installed cycle parking to make it easier for you to cycle to the bus stop, saving time compared to walking from further afield. First Hampshire operate the following services:
- X4/ X5 running from Gosport (X5) and Portsmouth (X4) to Fareham, Park Gate and Southampton, via Bursledon and Lowford. Four buses per hour from Bursledon/ Lowford to Southampton City Centre and Fareham, and two buses per hour to Gosport & Portsmouth
- 6 which provides two buses an hour between Hamble, Butlocks Heath, Netley, Woolston and Southampton city centre. Some journeys are supported by EBC.
- 8 which provides two buses an hour between Hedge End, West End, Chartwell Green, Bitterne and Southampton City Centre
- M1 which provides one to two buses per hour between Eastleigh Bus Station, Fair Oak and Marwell zoo (seasonal service, operates weekends in school term-time and every day during school holidays)

Bluestar operate the following services:

Uni-link operate the following services:

Uni-link can be contacted by phone on 023 8059 5974 (9.30am to 4pm Monday to Friday – term time and 9.30am to 2pm during university vacations).
Stagecoach operate the following services:
- Services E1 & E2 between Eastleigh, Boyatt Wood, Allbrook, Winchester Hospital and Winchester via Colden Common and Twyford (E1) or Otterbourne and Compton (E2). (Hourly service Mondays to Saturdays).
- Service 46 which provides 4 to 5 daily journeys each way between North Baddesley, Valley Park, Hiltingbury and Winchester. Some journeys continue to Peter Symonds College.
- Service 69 which provides an hourly service between Winchester, Twyford, Colden Common, Fair Oak, Bishops Waltham and Fareham
- Services to Peter Symonds College in Winchester, including service 692 from Bursledon and service 693 from Hedge End, Botley and Horton Heath.

Xelabus operate the following services:
- X4 Eastleigh to Airport Parkway, Mansbridge, West End and Hedge End (hourly service Monday to Friday, every two hours on Saturday). Some journeys are supported by EBC.
- X5 Boorley Park development to Hedge End station (half-hourly service in morning & evening peaks only)
- X6/X7 Hiltingbury, Fryern Hill, Chandler's Ford and Velmore to Eastleigh (half hourly service Monday to Friday; hourly on Saturday and Sunday). Some journeys supported by EBC.
- X8 Eastleigh to Boyatt Wood circular (hourly Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings and Sunday daytimes). Service supported by EBC.
- X9 Eastleigh to Allbrook, Colden Common, Fair Oak, Horton Heath, Hedge End, Botley, Waltham Chase and Bishop's Waltham (hourly Monday to Friday daytimes; every 2 hours Saturday daytimes)
- X10 Southampton to Bitterne, West End, Horton Heath, Durley and Bishop's Waltham (hourly Monday to Friday daytimes; every 2 hours Saturday daytimes). Some journeys are supported by EBC.
- X15 Eastleigh to Fair Oak, Horton Heath, Boorley Green, Botley, Hedge End, Bursledon, Netley and Hamble (3 or 4 journeys each way, Monday to Friday). Service partly supported by EBC.
- Services to and from Barton Peveril College from various parts of the Borough
- Service to and from Itchen College from various parts of the Borough
- School bus services to Hamble College, Wyvern College, Stoke Park Schools, Thornden school and Wildern School.

Taxi Share Services
A shared taxi service with fares similar to bus services is operated in some areas. Passengers need to book in advance and the journey will be operated by a taxi. Some taxishare services receive financial support from EBC. The links below provide more information on these services.
Megabus operate scheduled coach services from Southampton Airport to Oxford, Coventry, Birmingham airport, Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds, Middlesbrough, Sunderland and Newcastle.

The Hamble-Warsash ferry provides a service across the River Hamble. Foot passengers and bikes are carried. Operating hours are 9am to 6pm in summer and 9am to 4pm in winter. There is no timetable or need to book in advance as the ferry operates on demand.
Up to 12 passengers can be carried at a time. Wheelchair passengers can be also carried as a ramp is available- please call in advance to arrange.

Community Transport Services in Eastleigh
A Dial-a-Ride service operates across the Borough,providing a door-to-door transport service for people living in the Borough of Eastleigh who find it difficult or impossible to use ordinary bus services. This service is jointly funded by Eastleigh Borough Council and Hampshire County Council.

Medical Transport Service
If you have difficulty using the bus, or getting to a hospital, medical centre or GP surgery by car is difficult or there is no bus service available, a Medical Transport Taxi Service supported by Eastleigh Borough Council (and Hampshire County Council in Bursledon, Hamble-le-Rice and Hound) exists to provide transport to medical appointments.

This service operates seven days a week in most of the Borough and is available if you are either attending a medical appointment or visiting friends or relatives in hospital. This service will try to accommodate wheelchair users.

Bus Users UK represents bus passengers. They aim to help communication between bus users and the people that provide your bus service. They organise Bus Users' Surgeries around the country, set up local groups of bus users and campaign on behalf of bus passengers. Bus Users UK can also help out if something unsatisfactory happens on your bus journey, whether you're a member or not. If you have a problem on a bus journey, please let the bus company know first. If you don't feel they have resolved it to your satisfaction, contact Bus Users UK giving them as much detail as you can. They will take things further for you. If they can't resolve it, they are partners in the Bus Appeals Body who will issue a decision about your difficulty.
