The Munch Box

The Munch Box in Bournemouth Road is run by Angie and Kae, who have been serving fresh sandwiches and buffet lunches for meetings and businesses from the site Mon – Fri, 8am – 2pm, for nearly 20 years. Originally from London, they came to the area to be near family and never imagined they’d still be here all those years later. They offer a comprehensive range of lunch options with every kind of sandwich you can think of, including vegetarian and vegan, in addition to specials such as chicken madras boxes. 

They’ve been nominated as a Borough Gem by K, who said: “Everyone at work was desperate for them to reopen. They make the best sandwiches without doubt!”

Angie said: ”We offer value and really fresh produce. We can make everything to order so if people don’t like something we can change it for them, and we’re always open to ideas and suggestions. It’s lovely to be back at work. It’s been quiet but gradually people realise we’re open. We know the majority of our customers really well and we have built up good relationships. The banter with them is what we have really missed.”
