Local children and young people will again be able to enjoy using their favourite play areas when Eastleigh Borough Council reopens 22 children’s play areas that it manages on Saturday 4 July in line with government guidance.

To keep their children as safe as possible, parents are advised to maintain the government’s social distancing guidelines and to remember to bring their own hand sanitiser and sanitising wipes as the playground equipment has not been sanitised.   All sites will have guidance notices at the entrance(s) to the play area.

Children must be supervised and food and drink are not allowed in the play areas.

The Council has maintained and inspected the play equipment and play areas throughout the lockdown and will continue with its regular inspections and maintenance checks.
