During August and September, Household Enquiry Forms (HEF) were sent to all properties in the Borough. If you have not yet confirmed who lives at your property please do so now.
Between 20 October and 19 November canvassers, working on behalf of the Electoral Registration Officer, will be visiting properties that have not responded to their HEF. They will call on properties during the early evening and throughout the weekends to speak to the occupiers in person. They will be carrying official identification.
The information on the form is used to confirm your address for voting and is also used if you are applying for credit such as a mortgage of personal loan. If you are not registered, you may be refused credit as well as losing your right to vote.
Legally if you live at the property you must respond. If you return your form immediately you will avoid a personal visit to your address.
