An international themed market is coming to Eastleigh for the first time from Tuesday 8 to Sunday 13 May providing the chance for local people to visit the market and experience exotic cuisines and crafts from 9am to 5.30pm daily.
The Market Place will host more than 15 traders from all across the world mostly from mainland Europe that specialise in their national foods and products ranging from German sausage to Spanish paella and from Italian designer textiles to Indonesian wood carvings and much more.
The range of stall already confirmed include :
- Greek food
- speciality burgers and sausage
- olive oils and balsamic vinegars from Spain
- Paella and chorizo sausage rolls
- Jamaican products
- Exotic plants
- German sausage
- Italian textiles
- handmade garden furniture
- children's wood plaques
- chilli sauces
Mayor of Eastleigh, Cllr Mo Sollitt, said: “We are delighted to be welcoming the International Street Market to Eastleigh town centre as part of our ongoing support and investment in our town. I encourage local people to come along and enjoy the exciting range of food and crafts on offer.”
The international market will run alongside the usual Thursday and Saturday market and the Car Boot Sale will be running at reduced capacity in Leigh Road Car Park only whilst this event is on.
The International markets will make two further appearances in Eastleigh this year from 6-12 August and 8-14 October.
