Canvassers from Eastleigh Borough Council will be making personal visits to properties within the Borough who have not yet returned their Household Enquiry Form (HEF) that was sent to every property during August.
Residents have a legal requirement to complete the HEF which is used for voting and credit purposes. Canvassers will be visiting properties from 11 October until 17 November 2019 in the evening and weekends to try to get residents at home to confirm the details of occupiers. They will display their official ID and may make more than one attempt to obtain the information at outstanding properties.
A Council spokesperson said, “We would remind everyone, who hasn’t already done so, that they need to ensure they have responded to the HEF either online or returning the form to prevent the need for an electoral canvasser to visit their address. Legally they must respond.”
