Eastleigh Borough Council is an ambitious and progressive Council. We are recognised for our innovation and achievements, and for delivering high quality services to our customers and the community.

We are looking for customer-focused people to join our team. You will be required to patrol car parks and streets throughout the Borough of Eastleigh. You will assist motorists, ensuring that vehicles are parked in accordance with regulations. You may need to issue penalty charge notices to vehicles found in contravention of parking legislation.

The hours of work are within a shift system in the range 8.00am to 8.00pm. There is a six-week rota, which will include some Saturday and Sunday working. On occasions you may work alone but your colleagues will always be nearby. You will be based at our offices in Upper Market Street, Eastleigh and undertake on-foot patrol throughout the town.

Self-drive vehicles are supplied for patrolling elsewhere in the Borough; therefore applicants must be able to drive and feel comfortable driving a small van. However, applicants who cannot drive may be considered for dedicated Eastleigh town-centre patrolling.

When making your application please confirm in the Supporting Information section if you have a clean driving licence and the type of licence you hold, if applicable.

If you are excited by this opportunity and feel you have the skills, experience and attitude we are looking for we would love to hear from you.

At Eastleigh, we are committed to supporting and developing all our staff and creating a culture that is inclusive, innovative and enjoyable. We offer excellent opportunities for continuous professional development and support our staff in maintaining a good work life balance through our innovative flexi time system.
