Case Management Officer - Council Tax and/or Business Rates - EXPERIENCE ESSENTIAL

Salary £19,817 to £22,700 (Salary will depend on experience)

Your new role

We are looking for an experienced, self-motivated and committed professional to join us in our Council Tax and Business rates area of the Case Management Team.  We provide high standards of performance and customer service to our customers through the administration of Council Tax and Business Rates accounts. We have over 55,000+ properties in the Borough and are growing with new businesses and development. You will process applications and requests within these areas and liaise closely with customers to ensure an efficient, timely and helpful service.

Day to day the team use various IT systems including O365, IDOX and Academy.  We maintain contact with each other through Microsoft Teams, weekly team meetings, one to ones and in team training.

About you:

You will have a strong background in Council Tax and/or Business Rates role and be willing to constantly learn and improve new systems and processes. With excellent communication skills you will have an inclusive and helpful approach, the ability to prioritise, to handle various data and queries, whilst remaining calm and professional.  This is a busy working environment, so you will need to be resilient, adaptable and enjoy being part of a great team.

We are a team of 10 Revenues CMOs working with 3 specialist colleagues and 1 Lead Specialist; we work together and individually to deliver high quality council tax and business rates services. We sit within a wider Service Delivery Case Management team of around 50 busy and friendly colleagues.
