What is a Housing Association?

Finding an affordable home

Housing Associations are not-for-profit organisations that provide homes at social rents, affordable rents and for low cost home ownership.

If you are looking for a place to rent but can't afford market rents, then you might want to ask about a Housing Association home. They all work closely with us to meet the needs of local people.

The largest association in Eastleigh is VIVID which includes the former council housing owned by the Council.

If you apply on the Housing Register you will be able to apply for vacancies when they are advertised. You should bear in mind that there is a big shortage of this type of housing in the Borough so you may have to wait a long time.
