Free water saving home visit from Southern Water

We all use lots of water in our daily lives, 150 litres per person per day is the average in the South East. This is more than twice as much as we were using 25 years ago. The average bill is about £420 per year and with most properties now on water meters it makes sense to stop water wastage to keep those bills low.

Southern Water has launched a new scheme to help customers to save water, reduce water bills and to reduce the amount of water taken out of the local River Itchen.

Five thousand Southern Water customers have the chance to receive a free water saving home visit which will survey the use of water in the home and install free fittings that reduce the amount of water being used whist maintaining effective performance.

The fittings include dual flush syphons to toilets, save a flush bags, water saving shower heads and tap regulators all designed to save water and money. The visit and free products are worth over £100 and will make it is possible for you to save around £88 per year or 20% of your original bills with minimal disruption to your family life.

  • Is your annual water bill above the average?
  • Do you have a combination boiler in your home?
  • Do you have any old toilets in your property?

If you answered yes to any of these then you are likely to be using more water than you need. Apply now at www.southernwater.co.uk/home-visit for your free water saving home visit.
