Business Rates (also known as Non-Domestic Rates) are a tax on business properties. The tax is set by the government and business rates collected by local authorities contribute towards the cost of local services. Under the business rates retention arrangements introduced from 1 April 2013, councils keep a proportion of the rates paid locally.
You will need your Business Rates reference number to use these options. This is the 9-digit reference beginning with "7" which is shown on your Business Rates bills or correspondence.
