Volunteer to help those who are self-isolating because of coronavirus

Thank you for your interest in becoming a volunteer.

Find out how to b
ecome a volunteer and support those in your community who are especially vulnerable to coronavirus by providing vital supplies, like food and medicine, or being a friendly voice on the end of the phone.

What we need from you

We need people to pick up and deliver essential items like food and medicine to vulnerable people who are self-isolating at home.

To limit the risk of spread, you’ll be asked to ring the doorbell, drop off the items and leave, therefore keeping as much distance as possible between you and the person you are delivering to.

We also need people who can check in and chat with people over the phone. Social isolation increases loneliness, so having someone on the end of the phone that people can have a friendly chat with can be really important to someone’s wellbeing.

Please take a look at the government's guidance on how to help safely.
