Crestwood Community School

Crestwood Community school have been praised for not only supporting their students and their families but also the wider community during the first lockdown.

As well as supporting students with online learning they were also able to provide food parcels to families in the community that were in need and they also managed to make hundreds if not thousands of face shields for the NHS in their workshop.

The school put out requests for materials and were then able to create a design in their workshop and provide face shields for NHS staff and other key workers who were still working in the community during the lockdown.

Their nominee said: "They went above and beyond the call of duty. Such good role models for our children."
