This service is to help businesses in Eastleigh Borough bounce back as quickly and as successfully as possible as COVID restrictions ease.
The Employer Engagement and Support Service is central to our COVID recover strategy and we aim to help local businesses by providing support in various areas as companies emerge from the restrictions that have affected work and employment over the past 18 months.
This service aims to help local businesses by:
- Helping employers to understand
and apply for Government funding
schemes and information on initiatives/
funding streams available to them.
- Supporting employers’ workforce
planning in response to COVID-19 and
helping them to develop their employees
and reduce any skills gaps.
- Providing learning and training
solutions that enable employee
development and co-creating new
business solutions that help the business
achieve its strategic aims.
- Offering different types of work
placements –there are a variety
of government funded employment
initiatives that are mutually beneficial to
both employers and job seekers.
- Networking – developing
relationships with employers, businesses
and educational establishments.
Knowledge transfer partnerships that
bring new skills into the business.
- ‘Peer-to-peer’ support, advice
- Apprenticeship Levy advice such
as underspend and funds transfers to
support other local businesses.
