More awards success for Eastleigh Direct Services
Further awards for keeping Eastleigh’s streets clean and maintaining the Borough’s parks and open spaces have been scooped by the Direct Services team, who also provide services to local businesses.
They were named the Best Performer in Street Cleansing, and in Parks, Open Spaces & Horticultural Services, by the Association for Public Service Excellence (APSE) at their Performance Network awards ceremony in Blackpool last week. APSE is the organisation dedicated to promoting quality in the delivery of frontline services to local communities.
This is the first time the team has won the Parks, Open Spaces & Horticultural Services award, which Conwy Council had held for the past five years. Our Waste & Recycling Services were also highly commended, having made the list of finalists in the most improved category.
Earlier this year, Eastleigh was voted best Service Team: Street Cleansing & Streetscene Service (Public Realm) in APSE’s national annual service awards that recognise overall achievement.
Direct Services Manager, Paul Naylor and Waste & Recycling Manager, Andy Kendall, received the awards on behalf of the Council.
