Schools
Recycle at your school or youth group!
Welcome to the schools recycling section where you can find out all
you need to know about setting up recycling in your school and how
we can help you pass on the important message to your pupils and
young members!
Our recycling officers have lots of fun ways
to guide young people through recycling and how they can make a
difference….and it’s all free of charge!
A short picture presentation to all age groups
which shows the reasons behind recycling and how we do it!
A relay race to get teams working together to
recycle all the right things.
The 'Who Wants To Be a Millionaire' style quiz
is played on a lap top with hand held answering remote controls for
each participant. It is really popular with all age groups
and is a great way to recap the session and brings out the
competitive streak in everyone!!
Oragami plant pots are a good way to
demonstrate composting happening. Each person makes a pot
which we then fill with compost and a seed or bulb. When the
plant begins to grow the whole pot can then be transferred into the
garden at home or school. The pot will naturally rot away
just leaving your plant!*
*Best done outside during
spring and summer terms.
Make your own beads from scrap paper…….really
easy and makes a great present!
We can carry out 2 to 3 activities with each
class and require a minimum of 50 minutes per session. We
will also need a large open space such as the main hall.
