Household Waste Recycling Centres 
The borough's Household Waste Recycling Centres (HWRC's) ,
better known as Tips or Dumps, are operated by Hampshire County
Council and are for residents who need to dispose of bulky
household waste.
The HWRC's can be found in:

In line with their strict site licenses, the HWRC's are only
allowed to accept the following from a household source:
- Bulky items (including furniture)
- Green garden waste
- Metals
- Newspapers and magazines
- Glass bottles and jars
- Soil, rubble and DIY waste*
- Wood
- Textiles
- Car and household batteries
- fluorescent lightbulbs and energy saving bulbs
- Engine oil
*Restrictions apply
Opening times
The opening times for the Eastleigh, Fair Oak and Netley
HWRC's are:
(1st April to 30th September)
8am-7pm (including Sunday's and Bank Holiday's)
(1st October to 28th February)
8am-4pm (including Sunday's and Bank Holiday's)
(1st March to 31st March)
8am-5pm (including Sunday's and Bank Holiday's)
The opening times for the Hedge End HWRC
are:
(1st April to 30th September)
Monday - Friday 8am-7pm
Sunday and Bank Holidays -9am-7pm
(1st October to 28th February)
Monday - Friday 8am-4pm
Sundays and Bank Holidays 9am-4pm
(1st March to 31st March)
Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
Sundays and Bank Holidays 9am-5pm
