Bin Upgrades

Bins are allocated depending on the number of residents permanently living at the property. Please check you have the correct number of bins:

1 or 2 permanent residents     - 1 set of 140 litre bins
3 or 4 permanent residents     - 1 set of 240 litre bins

We will arrange for additional recycling bins to be delivered to your property if needed.

Using these criteria, you will have enough space in each bin for the fortnightly collection. If you feel that, despite recycling everything possible, you still need additional capacity for domestic waste please download our  bin upgrade application form or request one from Support Services:

When you receive the upgrade application form you will need to include evidence proving the number of people officially registered at your address. Once the completed application is received, we will arrange for the bins to be exchanged/delivered at the earliest opportunity.

If you feel that you still need additional bins despite having the correct allocation we can arrange for a member of the recycling team to visit your property. The team will be able to give advice on recycling and waste minimisation and, in certain circumstances, allocate additional bins if deemed necessary.
