Dog Breeding
The Breeding
and Sale of Dogs (Welfare) Act 1999 applies to both pedigree
and crossbreed dogs.
Breeding from your dog(s)
You may need a
licence to breed your dog(s). If you intend to breed you
should consult your veterinary surgeon, the relevant breed club if
your dog is a pedigree and the Animal Welfare
Officers.
Selling puppies bred by someone else
It is
an offence to trade in animals without a Pet Shop
Licence.
