Major outline planning applications on view
The Council has received two major outline planning applications
that have now been uploaded onto its planning website for people to
view. The outline planning application for land to the north and
east of Boorley Green has been submitted on behalf of MA Botley,
Macdonald Botley Park Ltd and Southern & Regional
Developments.
The application will consider in detail access to the site and the
principle of other aspects of the application which includes the
development of 1400 homes with access from Winchester Road and
Maddoxford Lane. The application includes an extension to the
existing hotel together with a new public house, retail and
employment facilities and district energy centre as part of a
commercial hub.
The proposals also provide for a new centre for the community
including a primary school, open space facilities such as play
areas, allotments, Multi-Use Games Area and a multi purpose
community facility. An outline planning application has also been
submitted by Ashill Developments Ltd and Southern & Regional
Developments for land east of Dodwell Lane and north of Pylands
Lane.
The outline application will consider in detail access to the site
and the principle of other aspects of the application that will
include the development of 250 homes and the construction of a new
road through the site as a bypass to Sunday’s Hill. The proposals
also include the provision of a public open space, children’s play
area, and associated landscaping.
Both these applications are the first stage of a two part process.
Firstly the outline planning application will be considered. If
this is granted a number of detailed applications will then be
submitted.
Both outline applications can be viewed on the planning pages of
