At  Eastleigh we are proud of our reputation as a progressive Borough Council with a strong customer focus and a commitment to continuous development.

Our core values are customer focus, effectiveness, honesty, integrity, and openness and these really do reflect the way we work.  

We are a high-performing council with clear political leadership and a ‘can do’ attitude. Our current challenges include:

• regeneration of our town centre and one the largest brownfield sites in the South-East,
• becoming a carbon-neutral Council by 2012 and
• reaching a recycling level of 50%.

We are a medium sized District Council employing just over 500 professional staff at various sites throughout the Borough.
