Forthcoming Meetings

The following Eastleigh Borough Council meetings are due to take place.  Set out below is some background information of what the meetings will be considering:

Special meeting of Bursledon, Hamble-le-Rice and Hound Local Area Committee
Tuesday, 21 May 2013 at 5:30pm Venue: Hamble Primary School, Hamble Lane, Hamble-le-Rice, SO31 4ND

This is a special meeting of this Committee to consider an outline planning application for a residential development of up to 150 houses, with access of Hamble Lane/Jurd Way roundabout, at land west of Hamble Lane, Bursledon.

Eastleigh Local Area Committee
Tuesday, 21 May 2013 at 7:00pm Venue: Committee Room, Civic Offices, Leigh Road, Eastleigh SO50 9YN

The Committee will be considering a number of items including reports on: recommendations to the street furniture elements of the draft Eastleigh Town Centre Streetscape Manual; proposed environmental improvements to enhance the pedestrian route between Market Street, Mitchell Road and the multi-storey car park; and the allocation of funds from this Committee’s capital and revenue budget to a number of various projects in the area, including £26,000 for replacement furniture for Leigh Road recreation ground, and £6,500 for improvements to Market Square.

Policy and Performance Scrutiny Panel
Thursday, 23 May 2013 at 6:30pm Venue: Committee Room, Civic Offices, Leigh Road, Eastleigh SO50 9YN

The Panel will be considering a number of items including a report on the customer service performance indicators for 2012, with comparisons made against 2011; and a review of the Climate Change Action Plan, with progress against the current year’s actions and new actions proposed for the forthcoming year.
