ESPOPF is an independent group of older people from Eastleigh's six southern parishes. 
It provides a platform for the expression of older people's concerns on local and national issues. 
It represents those concerns to statutory authorities, voluntary organizations and the wider public.
It is affiliated to the National Pensioners' Convention and linked with AgeUK's "Speaking Up for Our Age"
If you are aged over 55 and live in Botley, Bursledon, Hamble, Hedge End, Hound or West End, you are eligible to be a member.  Activities include Open Meetings with lunch, workshops, speakers and armchair exercises; Consultations; Lobbying MPs, Culture Club, 100 Club.
ESPOPF is committed to achieving quality of life for older people to enable them to live happily and independently until the end of their days.

Eastleigh Borough Council’s Enjoy Sharing Arts groups (previously known as Elders Share Arts) has been running for over 10 years and continues, in terms of members, to go from strength to strength, continually attracting new members.

The group meets on a termly basis throughout the year in Chandler’s Ford, Eastleigh & Botley. A different art form is covered each term and attendees receive professional tuition and all their materials in a positive, friendly and safe environment. These sessions respond directly to one of Eastleigh Borough Council’s Strategic Priorities "A Healthy Community: active and lively with a spirit of togetherness, health and wellbeing.

Sessions cost £20 per half term (5 weeks), £40 for full term (10 weeks)

Tuesdays: 11am–1pm Ritchie Hall, Chandler’s Ford
Wednesdays: 10am–12pm The Point, Eastleigh
Fridays: 11am–1pm Botley Community Centre, Botley

The health and social benefits of art for older people is well documented. Taking part in the Enjoy Sharing Arts sessions that Eastleigh Borough Council offers, drastically improves the quality of life for older residents in Chandler’s Ford, Eastleigh & Botley. Older members of the community have the opportunity of being involved in a communal activity which stimulates mental, social and physical well-being.

Sequin dancing, ballroom dancing and old time.  Everyone welcome, no experience needed. Come along and have fun.
The group also organise a subsidised Summer Lunch in June and Christmas Dinner in December.

Social Club for visually impaired people in the Eastleigh area.
Meets at the Wells Place Centre on the 1st and 3rd Monday evening 7.30pm to 9.30pm and
2nd and 4th Tuesday afternoon 2pm to 4pm.
The Club offers a great opportunity for people to get to know each other, enjoy a wide range of entertainment and outings. The Club can also arrange transport if necessary.

U3A THE UNIVERSITY OF THE THIRD AGE www.u3a.org.uk/
An international movement run by and for people of any age who are retired or semi-retired.
No qualifications are required and none is awarded. Members of the U3A have a wealth of knowledge, skills and experience which as a self-help group can be shared with others. Special interest groups meet in members homes covering topics such as languages at varying levels, the arts, literature, history and science. We also have outings to theatres, historic houses and gardens, local places of interest, and countryside walks.
