Disposable and portable BBQ's are not permitted at Lakeside.
this is due to risk of fire and littering.
Dogs are welcome in the park. However, to protect wildlife and
ensure that everyone enjoys their visit "Dogs on Leads" byelaws
apply to the mown area around the Pavilion building, the picnic
areas and around the lakes.
We ask all dog owners to follow a couple of simple rules:-
* Please pick up after your dog, there are dog bins around the site
for your use.
* Please keep your dog under close control as this site has
sensitive wildlife and not all visitors are fond of dogs -
especially muddy ones!

* It encourages disease (enteritis in ducks).
* It can attract rats and more food means more rats!
* It pollutes the water.

** New Lakeside Waterside
The Council will replace the current buildings at Lakeside
Country Park with a brand new storage building and waterside
centre. A planning application for the new development is to be
submitted in September 2014.
