Waterside tree planting helps to make the ideal sheltered location for registered groups to hold water activities including canoeing, model boating, tri-athlon, Newfoundland training and windsurfing. However for everyone's enjoyment and safety no individual craft, inflatables or swimming is allowed by members of the public.
As from April 2008 individual users are no longer permitted to use the water.
There is a charge for use of the lakes, which includes access to the pavilion. The pavilion provides groups with changing rooms and showers, a small kitchen and a lecture room. Booking as far ahead as possible is essential. Groups need to register each year, book with a member of staff and abide by the rules and regulations. Water quality is regularly tested during the summer and the site has achieved a high standard of cleanliness. For further information please refer to the documents below for the 2012-13 season:-
