The lakes at Lakeside are available for hire to watersport groups and fishing provided they are booked in advance. Unfortunatly the lakes are not available for individual watersport use, such as canoeists or open water swimming.

The lakes are the result of the restoration of gravel pits and have been available for the public to enjoy for many years although the pavilion (with its toilet facilities, changing rooms and lecture room) has only been around for the last 15 years.
