Conservation Part of the management plan for Lakeside is to graze cows. The fencing is in place and, as from Spring 2010, cattle will graze in one of the fenced-off areas.
Species Many different species of flora and fauna can be found here.
Bats - to date, 7 species have been observed at lakeside, amongs them is the rare migrant Nathusius pipistrelle. Some of the commoner species have been recorded whilst swarming over the lakes.
