Welcome to Lakeside Country Park, 60 acres of lakes, wet
meadow and woodland situated along Wide Lane between Eastleigh and
Southampton.
These restored gravel works offer the ideal day out for all, and
for the keen-eyed, the Country Park has a range of birds, insects
and small mammals as well as the occasional fox and deer. Enjoy a
walk around with your dog on the designated paw trail or stop
and have lunch at one of our picnic sites. Relax with a days
fishing, or a fun ride on the train, or just watch the world go
by...
Car: From J5 M27 & follow Eastleigh A335
(Wide Lane) signs for ½ mile. The park entrance is on the left
hand side just past the playing fields.

Parking is free all day on weekends and for 4 hours during the
week.
We have a RADAR key operated disabled toilet and parking spaces
for disabled badge holders close to the pavilion and lakes.
Unfortunately we no longer have a mobility
scooter.
Train: Nearest stop Parkway station (5min walk
from Park entrance. Turn right on leaving Parkway, cross the main
road on the pelican crossing and head for Eastleigh. Entrance is ¼
mile on left.
Foot: An easy 20 min walk from Eastleigh town
centre following the High Street. A public footpath enters the park
from Monks Way off Chestnut Avenue.
Bike: From Eastleigh Town Centre pick up
cycleway signs for Southampton. Just past the Concorde Club turn
left over the ford. Alternatively, access the park via Monks Way
Open Space, off Monks Way.
