Draft Eastleigh Borough Local Plan 2011-2029

 

Eastleigh Borough Employment Land Review

Eastleigh Borough Council has published an Employment Land Review for consultation.  Comments are required by Monday 5 March 2012.

In order to inform the preparation of its Local Plan, Eastleigh Borough Council has worked with consultants to prepare an Employment Land Review which considers the borough’s employment land requirements for the period up to 2029.   The Employment Land Review comprises:

This report seeks to understand the current supply of employment land within the borough and provides an overview of the key characteristics and recent trends within the local economy.

and:

This report considers the future employment land requirements for Eastleigh Borough with regard to the overall amount and type of floorspace that could be required along with policy approaches to delivering new floorspace in order to meet the needs of the local economy. 

The Borough Council would welcome your comments on the Employment Land Review, in particular the recommendations of the NLP Study, by Monday 5 March 2012.  The Council will consider how to address the findings of the Employment Land Review in the next stage of the Local Plan later this year.
