Chestnut Avenue, Eastleigh - New Shared Use Cycleway

Several sections of shared use cycle route along Chestnut Avenue
have been implemented in recent years taking the route as far
eastwards as Sand Martin Close. Funding has now been secured
to complete the route between Sand Martin Close and Stoneham
Lane.
It is proposed to widen the existing footway
to form a shared use cycle route along the northern side of
Chestnut Avenue to Stoneham Lane and extend the link southwards
into Stoneham Lane to the existing Toucan crossing.
It is anticipated that construction will commence in mid July
for approximately 8 weeks.
