Trains serving Eastleigh Borough are operated by South West Trains, Cross Country Trains and Southern.

Bus Services

A network of regular bus routes connects all parts of the Borough to Southampton, Eastleigh and other major destinations in the area. Better buses wireless internet

Most bus services in South Hampshire are now equipped with free on-board Wi-Fi internet access and operated with low floor buses.  This means most buses are accessible to people with pushchairs, buggies or mobility scooters and whilst on the bus, you can use your time to go shopping online, use facebook or twitter, or do work- whilst you let someone else take care of the driving.

And from autumn 2014, you will be able to use the new Solent Go travelcard on buses across Eastleigh.  This new travelcard helps make bus travel easier:Solent Go logo

  • The card makes it easy to hop-on and hop-off public transport, saving you time and speeding up bus journeys
  • The card avoids you needing to carry the correct change or multiple paper tickets
  • The card covers both bus and ferry travel across the Solent area

Uni-LinkNew Unilink bus
Uni-link operate the following services:

Xelabus operate the following services:

Wheelers ConnectWheelers Connect bus

Wheelers Connect is a new bus operator in the Borough. Wheelers operate two routes in the area.   These routes are:

Taxi Share Services 
A shared taxi service with fares similar to bus services is operated in some areas. Passengers  need to book in advance and the journey will be operated by a taxi. The links below provide more information on these services.  

 

 

Coach services

Megabus operate scheduled coach services from Southampton Airport to Oxford, Coventry, Birmingham airport, Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds, MiddlesbroughSunderland and Newcastle. Please visit the Megabus website for more information on this and other services.

 

Community Transport Services in Eastleigh BoroughOne community transport

Dial-a-Ride

Hedge End Shoppa minibus

The Hedge End Shoppa Free Community Minibus commenced its service throughout Hedge End, bringing shoppers into the village centre 'free of charge', on Tuesday 13 August 2013. Posters have been distributed throughout the town in shops and on noticeboards advising the routes and timetables.

The bus will initially be running on a trial basis Tuesday, Friday and Saturday and will be driven by volunteer drivers. The project is being funded by £10,000 awarded as part of the Portas Pilot project

Ferry services

The Hamble-Warsash ferry provides a service across the River Hamble. Foot passengers and bikes are carried.  Operating hours are 9am to 6pm in summer and 9am to 4pm in winter.  There is no timetable or need to book in advance as the ferry  operates on demand.Hamble Ferry

Up to 12 passengers can be carried at once. Wheelchair passengers can be also carried as a ramp is available- please call in advance to arrange.

 A new Southampton Buses app for iphone has been released. This free app gives journey planning and real time bus and train information , and covers all the public transport operators in Eastleigh.

They organise Bus Users' Surgeries around the country, set up local groups of bus users and campaign on behalf of bus passengers. Bus Users UK can also help out if something unsatisfactory happens on your bus journey, whether you're a member or not. If you have a problem on a bus journey, please let the bus company know first. If you don't feel they have resolved it to your satisfaction, contact Bus Users UK giving them as much detail as you can. They will take things further for you. If they can't resolve it, they are partners in the Bus Appeals Body who will issue a decision about your difficulty.
