How much does an allotment cost?
The current rent for an allotment is £8 a year per square rod
and £4 a year for persons over 60 years of age. (A rod
is approximately 25.29 square metres).
Please Note: There is a one off charge of £30 to cover
administration costs.
Is there a Waiting List?
Yes - When you apply, if your chosen plot is not available you
will be offered an alternative plot at the same or a nearby site,
or if you prefer your details can be entered on a waiting list.
How large is a plot?
Plot sizes are generally 5 or 10 rods. A rod is approximately
25.29 square metres. Many sites have a variety of plot sizes to
suit individual requirements.
