ABOUT KEITH HOUSE
Keith House was born in West End, but grew up in Hedge End from the age of 7, attending Shamblehurst School and Wildern School.
He was elected to what was then Hedge End Parish Council in 1988, and to Eastleigh Borough Council for Hedge End Wildern Ward in 1991.
Keith has represented Wildern for the last twenty years. All four of his children have attended Shamblehurst and Wildern Schools.
Keith House has been Leader of the Council since 1994. He is also a County Councillor, representing Bursledon, Hamble and Netley, and a Board Member (Governor) at Barton Peveril College. He serves as a Board Member of the Homes and Communities Agency.
Keith's interests outside of local government include working with emerging democracies in eastern Europe and central Asia. He has worked as an election observer in a number of countries including Russia, Azerbaijan, Kosovo, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan, and trained in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Keith's partner is Cllr Louise Bloom (www.eastleigh.gov.uk/louisebloom) who represents Grange Park on the Council.
